Karijini National Park, Western Australia

I know I look crazy! It was the only way to keep the constant swarm of flies out of my mouth, ears and nostrils! The bats were right above our heads as we walked down into the gorge. We quickly walked past a brown snake hiding in the slate.

Karijini National Park, in the Hamersley Ranges, covers 627,422 hectares and is Western Australia’s second largest national park. The park is spectacular; natural, raw beauty untouched by tourists.

49 degrees, no shade and the sun burning down! I’ve never sculled so much water and powerade so fast!
